The rear ride height adjustment turnbuckle is standard on the 1198s. You could find one used or there are a few aftermarket options out there for lowering.

Hi great video thanks, but where did you get your extra long rear mudguard from or was it on the bike when you bought it, it stops all the dirty mud spraying up under the rear of the bike and rear seat as it rains a lot over here, I am based in the good old UK and just bought a 848 EVO 2012 (great bike) and just doing the slave cylinder which has the modified pushrod/slave cylinder but still didn't stop the pushrod seals from leaking, thanks again.

The rear wheel hugger is made by Tekarbon and it's nice quality: tekarbon.com/collections/1198-1098-848-07-12/products/ducati-1198-1098-848-carbon-fiber-rear-hugger-v29 Sorry to hear about the oil leak. Did you install new o-rings on the push rod? It's probably a good idea to change them periodically.

Research shows 2011 535i and all 528i f10 are quite problematic. 2012 - 14 are best, with 2014 and up being exceptional with their added sport suspension.

Hello. I live in Russia. great car. Lexus is my dream. but unfortunately I can't afford it. Our used car costs about $25,000. it is very expensive. I work in the oil industry and my salary is about $1000 a month. On average, salaries in Russia are about 400 dollars. For us, such a car is a luxury. Thank you for the excellent review of an excellent car.

  • @K9V1

Haven't watched the whole thing yet but just wanted to point out/mention two things. The first is that I think having to press the start/stop button twice to turn the car off entirely is just how it is when there is no ignition to stick the key fob in. If I use the 'keyless trick' for lack of a better name on my E90, I have to do the same thing. If the key is in, I press the button once which turns off the engine, and when I pop the key out the rest also turns off. Second thing is that maybe the key needs to sit in the slot near the cupholders to charge? I know mine charges when it's in the ignition, but since the F10/F11 doesn't have that, maybe it goes in the aforementioned slot and could possibly recharge through that. Doesn't make much sense if the batteries just run out and you have to swap them out yourself.

Just picked up this gem today and love it. Cannot believe how good it is even by todays standards, having owned an 09 repsol 1000 and 16 s1000rr. The k6 1000 is just so raw and punchy in the mid range and the ergos are so nice, being 5'3 the seat height allows me to put both feet on the ground, ive never been able to do that and the handle bars arent so low either. For the money its hard to beat, love it. Great vid and thanks for sharing

The ball ramp/spider design slipper clutch are inferior compare to the EVR CTS or CNC Master Tech slipper Clutch, additional wear and tear where the little ball bearing slides/rides on the ramp area and require periodic regrease around that area.

I got an issue on mine, it always goes to a high idle but if I rev it a bit it’ll drop to my adjusted idle. I’ve got it adjusted to 800rpm and high idle is around 1200 till I give the throttle a blip then it’ll idle back to 800. Think this could be my issue?

Mine is sitting at 244K. I replaced my air bags And that was not that big of a deal. I prefer the air suspension. Replacing the transmission fluid is debatable. I see more guys saying don't do it at that kind of mileage and thus far I have elected to leave it alone. If I did service it, I would just replace the filter and put in enough new fluid to get back to full. I would never try to flush it.

I have a 2006 with 262000 miles and made a mistake replacing the rear air bags. When a front strut started leaking my mechanic replaced them with after market shocks and disconnected the electrical component. Now the air bags in the rear have overinflated and I'm looking possibly replacing the new bags with coils and new shocks. I should have been more informed before replacing the bags in the first place. Other than that, extremely reliable. The interior is still in excellent condition, too.

If everything goes right tomorrow I will be picking one of these up with 136k miles on it tomorrow. Not sure if the trans has ever been serviced. I don’t like the flush procedure even though I know it’s the correct way. I’m going to drain the 5 quarts and just add 5 quarts. Drive about 1000miles and do it again. And then do that one more time after another 1000.miles. I did this with my last car and the fluid was fairly clean the last time.
